Ian Stephens RE

Born in Great Linford, Bucks in 1940 Ian studied in Northampton and gained an N.D.D. in Illustration & Lettering - (1961) followed by a career in teaching and graphic design. His works are in a variety of mediums though predominantly wood engraving and printmaking. Ian’s subject matter is mainly landscape- its form, its uses and its denizens. Without doubt, he is one of the UK's finest wood engravers. Intricate and incredibly detailed, Ian's work is of the very highest quality.
