Stuart Robertson was born in Kent in 1962. He studied at Maidstone and Wimbledon Schools of Art, before working as an Illustrator for numerous publications including the New Scientist, Times publications and Barclays Bank. Robertson visited India in 1984 and moved to Delhi in 1989 as Head of Illustration for The Times of India. He travelled throughout India painting in watercolour and drawing in pen and ink. He had three major solo shows during that time, one at The British Council, and two at the Art Today Gallery. Since returning to London in 1996 he shows with the RWS and the Piers Feetham Gallery where he has had several solo exhibitions. Robertson's work is mainly figurative, architectural and representative. He works on site and from his studio.
