Goldfinches among the Kitten Heels
Gertie was born in Nottingham and came to London in 1968 to Hornsey School of Art. Over the years she continued to paint, filling sketchbooks and always searching for her own visual language. She takes her subjects from surrounding life - holidays, household objects, walking or gardening. Since retiring in 2016 she has had the time to focus on looking and painting.
